About

The Saint Joseph County Minority Health Coalition is a 501c3 not for profit agency that works within Saint Joseph County to fulfill its mission.

Mission Statement

The St. Joseph County Minority Health Coalition strives to promote minority health through advocacy, service delivery, public relations, research and leadership, and to provide community representation for medically
under-served individuals that will bring about workable solutions for addressing personal, family and community health problems.

History:

The St. Joseph County Minority Health Coalition (SJCMHC) has been in existence since
1996. Its foundation has been grassroots community volunteers, health professionals and
organizations, concerned about the disparities and access to equal healthcare for ethnic
minorities.

SJCMHC is an affiliate of the Indiana Minority Health Coalition located in Indianapolis and we are one of 15 such coalitions across the state, located in counties with large minority populations.
